Who's Counting on You?

This entire week I have been reflecting back on those who have inspired my life.  Some of these individuals took time to mentor me while others never knew the impact they made on my life.   I truly thank God for those people.  It just proves that we need others to grow as a person and in our walk with God.

As I spoke to you in service, Jesus influenced others because He spoke the truth.  Let me ask you this, are you speaking the truth in anyone’s life?  Many times we can get caught up in our day-to-day problems we forget about reaching out to others.   However, did you know people need you?  Yes, as crazy as it sounds others need what you have inside you.  People need to see you reflecting the forgiveness of God inside you.   Make a decision to care for others because of who God created them to be not for the mistakes they made.  I truly believe you will be amazed at what a difference it will make in their life.

So let me ask you again.  Who’s counting on you?  I want to know your thoughts and perhaps even ways you are finding to be an inspiration to others.   I have found when we share ideas with others it creates inspiration in others.

Pastor Jim,
Just to let you know I thought today's message was one of the best I have ever heard you speak. Also to let you know that you and your church have been an inspiration to me. I have learned very recently that GOD can inspire people greatly through us when we learn to praise HIM and trust HIM during the tough times in our life. As you know I have been going through the greatest storm of my life since our accident on 11-28-09. As I have traveled this road this short time it has been amazing already how GOD has been glorified through our struggle. I know that this is happening because from the very beginning I KNEW HE is all I really had,if I wanted Chelsea back and our lives back. I assure you the first few days after our accident I did not feel like I, or shall I say we, could be an inspiration to anyone, in the condition we were in. Chelsea in ICU clinging to life, and I was depressed and felt lower than I even knew I could feel. But I chose, at the end of the day, to TRUST what JESUS said HE could do. Day by Day things got better and are still getting better. Don't get me wrong, the devil worked against me and tried; and still tries to convince me of his lies, so I don't want to give the impression that it has been a breeze. I guess what I am trying to say ultimately is that GOD will inspire people through all of us if we will just continue to trust HIM and PRAISE HIM no matter how hard it may be. Its truly AMAZING to me how our story is already inspiring people and we did not even set out to be an inspiration,at least not in this way. Like I said it is all because we have chosen to press in and BELIEVE! I think when we REALLY do that, GOD CAN USE ALL OF US TO INSPIRE THOSE HE NEEDS US TOO!!!!! PRAISE HIM!!!

Thanks for prayers for me on Feb 1st, as I will undergo my third surgery on my left arm!

As for me, I hope that I am an inspiration to people daily. I try to stay positive and bring up the positive aspect to situations if possible. I try to be joyful and just be real with people. I am the same person that I am at church, home, work, wherever I am. One person I know is counting on me is my two year old daughter. It's amazing to see how much they pick up from you. Some days I feel like I am looking in the mirror when I see her do something that I am certain she learned from me...It is a constant reminder to be conscious of what I do and say. She keeps me in check and I thank God everyday for her. In many ways she inspires me...the child's outlook on life...
